YOUTUBE: Mobile Advertising Holds Appeal for Russian Users

According to a study conducted by YouTube in collaboration with Ipsos MediaCT, the findings reveal that the mobile audience in Russia is 1.4 times more likely to watch ads on their mobile devices compared to PCs or TVs. Furthermore, they are almost twice as likely to share these ads with their friends.
The growth of mobile video has been consistently strong over the years, and now it is finally living up to the hype that surrounds it.
In the third quarter of 2014, a Medialets report demonstrated that mobile advertising is exceeding all expectations in terms of conversion rates. The report indicates that view-through conversions on smartphones reach 58%, while on tablets, it reaches an impressive 72%. In other words, direct clicks and taps are not the primary drivers of conversion; rather, ad views and subsequent delayed actions (influenced by brand awareness) play a crucial role.
