Survey: Identifying Effective Travel Protection Measures During a Pandemic

Analysis by Tutu.ru Travel Service: Russians’ Perceptions of Effective Travel Protection Measures during a Pandemic

According to a study conducted by the analytical center of the Tutu.ru travel service, insights were gathered regarding the protection measures considered most effective by Russians while traveling during a pandemic. The findings are as follows:

  1. Pre-Travel Vaccination: A significant third of the respondents, accounting for 33%, identified getting vaccinated before traveling as the best protection measure against the pandemic.
  2. Staying at Home: Approximately 27% of respondents expressed a preference for staying at home as the most effective way to protect themselves while traveling, avoiding unnecessary risks associated with movement.
  3. Masks and Gloves: Around 17% of respondents believed that wearing masks and gloves provides them with adequate protection during their journeys.
  4. Seating Arrangements: 16% of respondents indicated that purchasing all tickets in a compartment or occupying an entire row on a plane would offer enhanced protection during travel.
  5. Pre-Trip PCR Tests: About 10% of respondents emphasized the importance of everyone undergoing PCR tests before embarking on a trip, considering it a crucial protective measure.

2336 respondents took part in the survey. The survey was conducted on June 23-27, 2021.
