Despite the uncertainties in the tourism industry due to border restrictions and changing rules, travel bloggers have continued their work in 2021, sharing new videos and posts to engage their followers.

“The People” is an extraordinary project by Anton Lyadov. Through his videos, Anton explores the lesser-known aspects of popular tourist destinations and regions. His content goes beyond traditional travel blogs and offers investigative journalism that resonates with the Russian-speaking audience. Despite deviating from the typical picturesque travel vlogs, his videos receive millions of views and thousands of supportive comments. One of his most popular videos, “Dubai. Flipside,” has garnered nearly 11 million views.

Ilya Varlamov, a renowned public figure, journalist, and vlogger, has gained popularity in Russia and CIS countries. He has been known to the public for quite some time due to his travel writings, not only on LJ (LiveJournal). Since 2017, he has successfully expanded his presence on YouTube, where he covers social and political issues alongside sharing insights about cities in Russia and countries both nearby and far away. What makes Ilya endearing to his viewers is his ability to go beyond highlighting the comforts of cities and countries. He fearlessly raises critical issues that often remain undisclosed to tourists.

“About travels” is an automotive travel channel led by Bogdan Bulychev, a Russian adventurer and YouTuber. The channel offers a variety of videos featuring expeditions, journeys, cars, lifestyle, and motivation. New content is posted on a weekly basis, specifically on Wednesdays. While recent videos mainly focus on travels within Russia, Bogdan also shares captivating video reports from his explorations in countries like China, Norway, Thailand, Kazakhstan, and more. On average, the channel’s videos receive around 100K views, showcasing the audience’s enthusiasm for Bogdan’s travel adventures.
It’s a Good Trip – Adventures and Food! (288K):
“It’s a Good Trip” is a unique channel where the author, Sasha Lyapota, combines two fascinating topics: bike travels and food exploration. If you’re interested in promoting gourmet trips, this channel is worth noting. The videos on this channel consistently attract an average of 50K views or more, showcasing the audience’s engagement with Sasha’s adventures and culinary experiences.
